Karen's passion for event planning began at the young age of fourteen years old. At this time she started dressing up as various characters in her hometown located in the Rio Grande Valley. She went from being inside Mickey Mouse's costume and worked her way up to hosting her own parties while playing games with children.
As soon as Karen graduated from highschool and received her Associate's Degree, she moved to San Antonio and studied at The University of Texas at San Antonio but her love for party planning did not stop there. Karen was hired as a princess with Teacups and Tiaras on 2017 and in no time, she became San Antonio's favorite Princess Moana... as well as Christina's daughter-in-law!
Karen met her husband while working for Teacups and Tiaras and now has two children. Under the circumstances of Christina's passing, Karen is now taking ownership of the company and continues to provide families with the smiles, fun and magic that Teacups and Tiaras has always provided.

What a great experience. My little had never had a birthday party due to the pandemic. This was her first experience and she requested a tea party with Tiana. My first thought was, "that's a big dream little lady". However, Teacups and Tiaras made the dream come true! I barely lifted a finger, they took care of everything. The girls had a great time.
